Background and Aim: The aim of the current research was to compare the cultural, social and mental health factors of delinquent and normal male teenagers (case study: male teenagers of Urmia city).
Method: The current research is applied research in terms of purpose, descriptive research in terms of nature and field research in terms of method. The statistical population of the present study is boys between 12 and 15 years of age in Urmia, who were investigated in two parts. The statistical population of the first part of the juvenile delinquent boys introduced to the correctional and education center of Urmia city was 65 juvenile delinquent boys in the age group of 12 to 15 years and the statistical sample of the research was 60 juvenile delinquent boys due to the equality of the population. And the statistical sample was used by the census method. The statistical population of the second part was normal male teenagers aged 12 to 15 years of Urmia city, whose number is 10331 according to the statistics announced by Urmia city education. In order to compare the two groups and homogenize the statistical sample, 60 normal male adolescents in the age group of 12 to 15 years were selected as the statistical sample of the second part using a simple random sampling method. The students were selected from three boys' schools in Habibzadeh, Ahangari School and Ganjabad School in Urmia. In the present study, three standard questionnaires of cultural factors, social factors and mental health were used to collect research data.
Results: The research hypotheses using multivariate variance analysis, the results showed that there is a difference between the cultural factors (family factors, lifestyle, cultural capital) of delinquent and normal teenagers and the group variable was 6.8%, 16.3% and 15.5 percent of the differences between the three subscales explain the family factors, lifestyle and cultural capital between the two groups. Also, the results showed that there is a difference between social factors including social capital, economic capital, parents' education, social media and social skills of normal and delinquent teenagers and they are 7.1%, 8.1%, 13.8%, respectively. 11.8% and 14.2% explain the difference between social factors between the two groups. In addition, the results showed that there is a difference between mental health, including emotional well-being, mental health and social health of normal and delinquent male teenagers and there is a difference between 15.9, 13.7 and 12.2 percent of mental health between the two groups, respectively.
Conclusion: Cultural, Social and Mental Health Factors were different among Delinquent and Normal Male Teenagers.
